The Village of Bridgeview strives to effectively communicate with our residents. We offer the following communication tools for residents.

BridgeViews:
Mailed monthly to residents, provides in-depth information on Bridgeview operations, Village services, upcoming Village events, and "special interest" features.

BridgeViews TV:
Residents who subscribe to cable television can tune into Channel 6 every Friday at 5:00 PM for Village news and footage of special events.

Garbage

The Village of Bridgeview has a contract with Land and Lakes Garbage to remove and/or recycle your garbage. Please abide by the following guidelines in removing trash from your property

  • Trash is to be placed in 90 gallon containers which are provided to you and will be picked up on a weekly basis.

  • Covered trash containers are to be placed at the curb line, please not in street no earlier than the evening before your designated day of collection.

  • Cans must be removed no later than the evening of collection day.

Chipper Service

April 1st to November 31st (as long as weather permits). If you have any branches to be picked up, please call Bridgeview Public Works at (708) 924-8053 to ensure service.

Parking

Night Parking: The parking of vehicles on Village streets between the hours of 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM is prohibited without prior approval. To request overnight parking when the need arises, please call (708) 458-2131 before 2:00 AM.

Snow Removal

Residents are asked not to park vehicles on any street when there is an accumulation of snow of 1" or greater or which is being cleared or plowed. Residents are prohibited from depositing snow in the streets as this restricts the view of motorists and inhibits snow removal efforts.

Water Bills:
Payments can be made at the Clerks Office during business hours. For added convenience you may use the drop box during or after business hours located in the East parking lot across from the Clerks Office.

Village Vehicle Stickers, Motorcycle Tags, and Pet Tags:
Village ordinance requires all vehicles and pets to be registered with the clerks office.

Postage Stamps:
The current first-class stamps can be purchased by the book or individually.

Yard Waste:
Refuse can stickers are available.

No Solicitors Invited:
Door stickers are available.

Parking Permit:
Stickers are issued for those areas where permit parking is indicated. Guest parking permits are also available.

Garage Sales:
Permits are issued with the limit of 2 days per year. The daily charge is $2.50 per day.

Treasure Days:
An annual village-wide garage sale sponsored by the Village of Bridgeview. There is no charge to take part in this event during 2 weekends in September. Registration is required.

Freedom of Information:
Forms are available for information to be obtained. Should you need printed copies of your request, the fee is $0.25 per page.

Voter Registration:
To register to vote, a person must be a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age by the election date or older, have resided in the election district 30 days by the time of the next election, and be registered to vote. You can register to vote at the Clerk's Office in the Village Hall during business hours.
