Police Headquarters is located in the Village Hall. The Bridgeview Police Department serves and protects the 4 square miles of the Village. Officers patrol 52 miles of streets, maintaining the offensive in the prevention of crime. An enhanced 911 emergency
telephone system with computer-aided dispatch enables the Police Department to maintain a quick response time throughout the Village.

The department has the authorized strength of 44 sworn full-time officers and 6 sworn part-time officers, a 2 member K-9 unit, and a 15 member civilian support staff. Bridgeview’s Police Department is a law enforcement agency, consisting of traffic and
tactical units, criminal investigators, crime prevention specialists and Emergency Services Disaster Agency (E.S.D.A.). Training is integral to the police force. Officers continually participate in extensive training programs through national, regional, state,
and local law enforcement academic and training facilities. The Police Department is also committed to developing and nourishing positive relationships with business by promoting crime prevention.
